Abstract:In order to overcome the defects of the speed limit method in the construction area of expressway reconstruction and expansion, such as single consideration factors and incomplete service levels, the speed limit method in the construction area of expressway reconstruction and expansion based on the service level is proposed. From the perspective of service level, the efficiency, safety and comfort are considered, and the average vehicle travel delay, average headway and standard deviation of speed are selected as the evaluation indicators. Through VISSIM, the evaluation model of speed limit in construction area of expressway reconstruction and expansion is established by Entropy weight - Method of distance between superior and inferior solutions to determine the optimal speed limit in the construction area of expressway reconstruction and expansion. Taking Liunan Expressway as an example, the calculation results show that the optimal speed limits corresponding to each saturation (0.75, 0.8, 0.85 and 0.9) are 80, 60, 60, 60 km/h respectively. The level of service is better than that of other speed limit schemes. It can be seen that the speed limit method for the reconstruction and expansion construction area considering the service level has better result. And it is conducive to improving the service level of the construction area for the reconstruction and expansion of expressways.
