Abstract:As an important transportation hub in cities, the airport how to efficiently and reasonably organize various types of traffic flow such as private cars, taxis, buses and work vehicles is a key and difficult point in the design of terminal area. Taking Terminal Area II of Baiyun International Airport as an example, the overall design and streamline organization of the landside traffic system of main four-width double-way road into the airport in the working area and the main one-way anticlockwise ring road in the terminal area are introduced. The design schemes for the waiting area in front of the terminal building with the densest flow of people and vehicles and the most tense land space are demonstrated, compared and selected in detail. The design idea for the waiting area in front of the building which is people-oriented, space intensive and fast traffic in and out is proposed. The relevant design research ideas can provide reference for similar projects.
