Abstract:Steel-concrete composite structure has been widely used in bridge structure due to its ability to fully utilize the performance advantages of steel and concrete materials in recent years. Based on the Qidu Bridge II, the design essentials of the composite structural arch foot are outlined, and the structural characteristics of the connection part at the arch foot are introduced. Finite element software ANSYS is used to established the arch foot model for analyzing the stress of each component. The research results indicate that the steel-concrete transition area at the arch foot exhibits a significant stress concentration due to sudden stiffness changes. And as the main force transmitting component of the connection, the crossbeam exhibits obvious local stress states at the edges. The steel-concrete composite structure of arch foot proposed can transmit the internal force of arch foot better.
