Abstract:The pollution components in tidal rivers are complex, and the concentration of pollutants is greatly affected by changes in water level. Taking Sanya River as the research object, the hydrodynamic water quality coupling model is established according to the characteristics of its tidal reach to study the impact of tide on the river. The distribution characteristics of pollutants such as COD, NH3-N, TP, and other pollutants under and without tidal level support are analyzed, providing a basis for the designation of subsequent comprehensive treatment schemes. Through analysis, the total COD, NH3-N and TP of Sanya River under tide level support are 93%, 115% and 83% respectively when there is no tide level support. Tides have a relatively small impact on the release of pollutants throughout the year. However, the impact on the total amount of pollutants in the East River is greater than that in the West River.
