Abstract:Tunnel design specifications are the basis for carrying out design work. The comparison of the related design specifications of tunnel in China with the technical standards of the international advanced countries can be conductive to improve the international competitiveness of the engineering construction enterprises in China. By the literature research, calculation and analysis, the similarities and differences in the design of secondary lining structure of tunnel between China and the United States are analyzed and compared mainly from the design criteria, limit state division, design service life, material characteristics, load classification and combination, and structural design methods. And combined with the engineering examples, the research and analysis are carried out. The results indicate that the design parameters of the tunnel regulations in China are more conservative and safe, which can better ensure the safety and durability of the tunnel lining structure, and is more conducive to the long-term service safety of the tunnel secondary lining, which provides the technical reference for the domestic infrastructure industry to expand into the international market.
