Abstract:As an extension of large-capacity rail transit and a supplement to small-capacity public transit, the medium capacity transit (MCT) has become popular in urban transportation construction including Shanghai. Taking MCT project in Lingang Special Area as a research object, the functional orientation and characteristics of the project are analyzed. On this basis, an evaluation index system for its operation and service is built from four dimensions of passenger flow efficiency, operational service, passenger satisfaction and traffic impact. And then, the weight of each indicator and the final evaluation model are obtained by the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). This model is both targeted and universal, which provides a reference for studying the evaluation methods of MCT operation in other cities.
