Abstract:The bowstring arch bridge is commonly used in Europe, and has become very popular in China because of its merits such as reasonable stress, economic material, convenient construction and beautiful design. The four-arch-rib no-wind-brace bowstring arch bridge has more abundant shape and excellent landscape effect, but its stress is more complicated than the normal bowstring arch bridge. Taking Xingfu River Arch Bridge in Doumen District of Zhuhai as the engineering background, the finite element model is built to calculate, analyze and select the key parameters such as arch axis, rise span ratio, arch connection and construction sequence. By comprehensively considering the structural stress and landscape effect, the reasonable design scheme of the bridge is selected. The relevant research and design results can provide reference for the design of the similar bridges in the future.
