Abstract:The Beiheng Passageway Project is located in the central urban area of Shanghai. The city interface is flourishing and complex. Due to the installation of vehicle in-out ramps, there are many shield working shafts with the short spacing during the construction. The traditional method of small-diameter shield tunneling has the large influence with the long time consuming and high cost. The integral tunneling construction technology of shield machine for assembling the temporary segment tunneling is explored and used in the Beiheng Passageway Large Diameter Shield Tunneling Project in order to realize the safe and fast tunneling. Based on Beiheng Passageway VIII Bid Project, the construction technology process is introduced in detail. The construction process, the key and difficult points of the project are given. The technical references are provided for the construction of the similar projects.
