Abstract:The roads in the water conservancy and hydropower projects are exclusively used for the construction of water conservancy and hydropower projects. These roads have the high traffic volume, heavy vehicle axle loads, short service life and high transportation intensity during the period of use. The total volume of each road and the type of dump truck for transport are clear. A new calculation method for the design of cement concrete pavement structure applicable to the on-site roads of water conservancy and hydropower engineering is proposed. The impact of various influencing factors in this calculation method on the thickness of pavement slabs is analyzed and studied. Combined with the traffic information of the roads in a hydropower station, the pavement structure combinations suitable for different total transportation volumes and different types of dump trucks are calculated. These calculation results can be referred for the pavement structure design of the other similar projects.
