Abstract:With the continuous development of utility tunnel construction, the variety of pipelines brought into the utility tunnel is increasing, which leads to a growing number of compartments within the utility tunnel. It is necessary to consider the rational arrangement of these compartments to enhance the utilization efficiency of underground space. By optimizing the layout of pipelines, the compartments of utility tunnel are vertically stacked up, which can effectively reduce the occupation of utility tunnel in the urban underground space, and provide the new ideas for meeting the development demand of city. Taking a utility tunnel project as an example, the process design, structural design and foundation pit design of the double-layer multi-compartment utility tunnel are analyzed. The design essentials of double-layer multi-compartment utility tunnel are summarized, which provide the practical experience and a reference basis for similar projects.
