Abstract:On the basis of evaluating the old road markings of a certain expressway in Yunnan, it is proposed to use a reactive marking paint spraying process to repair the old markings. The effects of glass bead particle size, different blending ratios and different dosages on the retroreflection coefficient of sprayed marking lines are analyzed. When the distribution amount of glass beads is 450 g/m2, and the mass ratio of A-type (fine) glass beads to B-type (coarse) glass beads is 1∶2, the best retroreflection coefficient is obtained. After the post construction inspection, the average retroreflection coefficient of the repaired marking line is not less than 400 mcd·m-2·1x-1. The surface reactive marking paint in engineering practice can effectively repair the function of old markings on expressways.
