Abstract:A driving simulation test is carried out to solve the unfavorable linear combination of large longitudinal slope and small radius in Suzhou Dushu Lake South Tunnel Connection (NE Ramp) and the illusion of "left approach" in the confluence area of NE and S1 ramps. A simulation scenario of underground expressway ramp and confluence area is built to analyze the velocity profile, longitudinal acceleration standard deviation and lateral migration in ramps and confluence areas. The results show that the velocity variance of NE ramp is large, which has a driving safety risk. There are frequent acceleration and deceleration operations in the confluence area of NE and S1 ramps, which may cause the safety risks in the confluence area. The driving safety and lateral migration of vehicles can be improved by setting the deceleration marks, speed limit signs and contour marks.
