Abstract:With the development of a new urban spatial pattern and the deepening of regional integration strategy, the population and job positions in Jiading New Town continue to be introduced, and the problem of traffic congestion is becoming increasingly prominent. Combined with the road traffic supply and demand character and the high-quality development requirement of Jiading New Town, the countermeasures for alleviating the congestion in the about 20 km2 range of the main urban area in Jiading New Town are analyzed and studied. The comprehensive governance countermeasures and practices such as spatiotemporal optimization, organizational management and road network improvement are proposed from the goal level, strategy level and technical level. After implementation and evaluation, the good benefits have been achieved, which provides the useful references for road traffic congestion alleviation in similar areas.
