Abstract:Taking the construction of the “First Ring” expressway in Zibo City as an example, the issues in its planning and construction are reviewed and analyzed in detail, such as the scale of the “First Ring”, site selection and alignment, prefabrication and assembly, and steel structure construction methods. Based on this, several points of experience are summarized. For medium-sized cities, the scale of the "First Ring" expressway should be controlled within an enclosed area of 80~90 km2, with a total mileage of 50~60 km. When selecting the route, the consideration should be given to maximizing the service and radiation areas on both sides, as well as to the economic development, industrial layout and functional area connections along the route. When adopting prefabrication and assembly for the construction of viaducts, it is necessary to fully consider whether there are sufficient prefabrication sites in the urban area. When constructing composite steel structure bridges, it is important to consider whether the local area has a mature industrial environment and sufficient industrial workers for steel structure processing and fabrication. The summary provided can be as a reference for similar engineering planning and construction.
