Abstract:With the development of the economy and society, the requirements for highway design are constantly increasing. Due to the influence of the oblique intersection of the main line with the intersected road (or river flow direction) and the layout of adjacent cross-span bridge, there will be more and more bridges in the form of oblique transfer to orthogonal transfer of fulcrum. Combined with the design example of an oblique-to-orthogonal bridge, the spatial solid finite element computing program Midas FEA is used to analyze the stress characteristics of the lower special-shaped bent cap pier column. The more feasible idea and method are put forward, which provides a reference for the layout schemes of the other oblique-to-orthogonal bridges.
