Abstract:Under normal circumstances, in plain areas with underdeveloped water systems, due to the lack of receiving water bodies, the municipal rainwater discharge needs to be transferred over long distances, which leads to the formation of large height difference waterfall in municipal drainage pipes. Combined with an engineering case, the existing pipe jacking shaft is adopted to formulate a feasible energy dissipation scheme for large height difference (10.90 m) and large flow rate (11.04 m3/s) waterfall of municipal pipeline network, and the effective drop connection structures are designed. At the same time, The workflow is established by using the ANSYS Workbench 2022 R1 platform to realize the multi-software interactive, parametric modeling and solve it, which simulate and verify the energy dissipation effect of the waterfall well. The simulation results show that the energy dissipation effect is excellent after the internal structure of the pipe jacking shaft is reconstructed for waterfall energy dissipation, which is suitable for solving the the waterfall problems in the main municipal rainwater pipes with large flow and large height differences. The findings from the case can provide a reference for similar waterfall conditions.
