Abstract:The Code for Seismic Design of Highway Bridges, Code for Seismic Resistance of Highway Engineering, Detailed Rules for Seismic Design of Highway Bridges and Code for Seismic Design of Urban Bridges are the main reference specifications for the design of expressway bridges. However, there are differences in the definition formula of the reaction spectrum curve, the parameter values, and the relative safety of intensity verification. Through an engineering case, the ground motion input level of each code at the level of E1 and E2 earthquake is analyzed, and the relative safety of each code is evaluated. The study shows that under the E1 and E2 seismic level, the response spectrum curve value of Code for Seismic Design of Highway Bridges is higher than that of Code for Seismic Resistance of Highway Engineering, Detailed Rules for Seismic Design of Highway Bridges and Code for Seismic Design of Urban Bridges. All the specifications adopt the limit state design method, and the M-? curve is used as the strength verification index. The load combination method of Code for Seismic Design of Highway Engineering is adopted, and the results of structural strength verification are relatively safer.
