Abstract:Changnan Bridge crosses Ganjiang River. Its main bridge is a composite beam V-shaped pier continuous rigid-frame bridge with the span combination of (75 + 165 + 180 + 180 + 65 + 75) m. The bridge is 840 m long and the double-width bridge is 37.5 m wide. The V-shaped pier rigid-frame bridge is widely used in the construction of urban landscape bridges because of its light structure, beautiful appearance, strong spanning ability, large stiffness, comfortable driving and easy maintenance. The conception, overall scheme design, bridge structure design and construction of the V-shaped pier rigid-frame bridge with the largest main span and joint length in China are introduced.
