Abstract:Due to the limitations of urban road planning lines, in urban road design, it is necessary to design the large-angle skew box culverts that cross the existing rivers. Based on the completed engineering examples and existing relevant specifications, the stress characteristics of large-angle skew box culverts are analyzed. And combined with three kinds of finite element calculation schemes commonly used in box and culvert calculation, Midas civil finite element software is used to establish the different-span plane frame model and three-dimensional plate shell model for calculation. The differences in the calculation results of the three models are compared, and the advantages and disadvantages of the three models are analyzed. Finally, aiming at the construction of large-angle box culvert and combined with the calculation results, the reasonable and practical design suggestions are proposed, which provides the reference for the design of similar projects in the future.
