Abstract:To solve the problems of traffic safety evaluation and analysis of on-ramp and off-ramp with poor visual distance of small radius flat curve, taking Jinguang Road Ramp in the in-city section of S26 Highway as an example, based on the current highway and urban road specifications, and combined with the requirements of Highway Project Safety Evaluation Specifications, the service level, operating speed, stopping sight distance and recognition sight distance in the merging and diverging areas of the ramp are comprehensively and systematically analyzed and inspected. BIM technology is used for three-dimensional simulation verification to further optimize the traffic management measures at the diverging points of the ramp, including speed limits, prohibition of truck traffic, and the optimization of traffic signs and markings. Since the opening of this road section for traffic, its operating situation is good and the traffic accident rate has not seen a significant increase, which verifies the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed evaluation method.
