Abstract:After the bridge girder is hit by ship, the rapid and accurate safety assessment of the girders is the basis for preparing the maintenance and reinforcement measures. Taking a continuous box girder bridge in China as an example, the safety assessment of the girders after ship collision is carried out through the impact simulation analysis methods, and the assessment method is summarized in combination with the engineering practice. Firstly, based on the formula of the specification, the ship collision force is determined to verify the actual collision and shear failure length of the box girder. Then, the collision process of ship and bridge is simulated by numerical methods to determine the impact range of the collision damage on the web plate of the box girder. And the impact of the web plate and steel bundle damage on the force redistribution of the girder is analyzed. Finally, based on the results of the impact simulation analysis, the safety of the bridge structure is assessed. The proposed impact simulation analysis method can truly restore the change process of the bridge girder after being hit by a ship and accurately reflect the real damage situation of the girder, which can be used as a theoretical basis for the next step of preparing the maintenance and reinforcement schemes.
