Abstract:Under the background of high-quality development in the new era, the cross-sectional design of urban roads is facing systemic challenges and transformation needs. In the current reconstruction project, the contradiction between the traditional design concept and the development needs of modern cities is becoming increasingly prominent. The specific manifestations are: the people-oriented design concept has not been fully implemented, the positioning of road functions is not accurate enough, there are unreasonable phenomena in the distribution of road rights, the lack of coordination of road composite functions, and the lack of forward-looking combination plans in the short and long term. In order to meet the above challenges, it is urgent to build a macro, medium and micro "trinity" design system, solve local traffic problems from the perspective of the overall road network, strengthen the cross-sectional design method coordinated with road functions, and establish a complete street design concept. Through the above strategies, the fundamental transformation of road space from a single transportation carrier to a livable, resilient and intelligent composite carrier is realized, thus promoting the high-quality development of urban roads.
