Abstract:In order to solve the tensile problem of concrete bridge decks under the negative bending moments at the pier top of composite beam bridges with corrugated steel web plates, the effective method of applying the pier top prestress in composite beam bridges with corrugated steel web plates is discussed. Based on the characteristics of the composite beam bridge with corrugated steel web plates, and focusing on the tensile problem of the concrete bridge deck caused by the negative bending moment at the pier top, the research is carried out through the theoretical analysis and engineering examples. Through in-depth analysis of the stress characteristics of bridge structures, a set of process measures for applying effective prestress to concrete bridge decks without the use of prestressed bundle tensioning has been proposed. The research results confirm that the carefully designed process measures can effectively apply the prestress to concrete bridge decks, which provides a new design concept for medium-span and large-span corrugated steel web composite beam bridges, that is, there is no need for prestressed bundle tensioning. Through the specific process measures, the effective prestressing can be applied to the concrete bridge deck, and can effectively resist the tensile stress caused by dead and live loads.
