Abstract:The Feiyun Bridge in Hutai Road is an open-section composite continuous girder bridge with a main span of 125 m. It is arranged in two separate sections, and a single section width is 15.75 m. Its structural form is the upper and lower layers, and outside-hung sidewalk. The main girder is a large-cantilever single-box single-cell composite continuous steel box girder. The solid-web beam is adopted at the fulcrum for the diaphragm system, the open-web diaphragm plate is used at the rest positions. The discontinuous construction method of steel beam segment assembly with less support and bridge deck slab first span middle and then fulcrum is adopted. The overall layout, structural overview, construction methods and design essentials of the long-span open-section composite continuous steel box girder are analyzed and summarized. The influence of side fulcrum compression and jacking treatment on the structural force is compared in the case of small side midspan ratio, which can provide reference for the design of the similar bridges.
