Abstract:The combined construction form of riverside roads and flood control embankment has been widely applied in riverside cities, but the urban roads and embankments belong to the different professional fields. At present, no systematic and perfected engineering design methods or technical guidelines have been formed. In combination with the Yueyang Junshan Water Conservancy Anbao Avenue Project, the overall design scheme and key technical measures for the combined project of urban riverside roads and flood control embankment are discussed. After the engineering positioning and main construction contents are determined, the overall design principle of "prioritizing flood control while taking transportation into account" is clearly defined. The different combination forms and applicability of roads and embankment are analyzed. The combination form of embankment and roads is proposed that the main body of roads adopts the width of embankment foot side, and the sections with the limited local conditions adopts the width of embankment top side. Combined with the functional demands, an asymmetrically arranged cross-section of urban roads is proposed. In response to the actual conditions of the project and the related problems to be solved, the key technical measures such as the anti-seepage reinforcement of the embankment body, the control of the filling material of the embankment, the treatment of the junction of the embankment and the road, the treatment of soft soil foundation and the protection of the structures passing through the embankment are discussed, which can provide reference and suggestions for similar engineering construction schemes.
