Abstract:For the high and steep embankment slope with complex surrounding environment, the conventional gravity retaining wall on supported beams of pile foundation has been difficult to meet the engineering needs. In order to improve the shortcomings of the support structure, a new type of support structure - double-row pile counterfort retaining wall is proposed. Based on its application in high-filled steep embankment slope project of a mountainous road in Shenzhen, the calculation, design and construction are specially introduced. From the practical application effect, the double-row pile counterfort retaining wall can greatly save the slope land, and the deformation control effect is better, which can provide reference for similar high-filled embankment slope projects restricted by the surrounding environment.
