Abstract:In recent years, the extreme weather occurs frequently, and Zhangjiagang City has suffered serious losses from flood and waterlogging disasters. In order to reduce the risk of flood and waterlogging disasters, the construction of flood control and waterlogging drainage facilities is speeding up in various districts of Zhangjiagang. Based on the reconstruction and expansion project of the Wugan River Waterlogging Drainage Pumping Station in Zhangjiagang City, Mike 11 is adopted to build the hydrological and hydrodynamic model for the districts, and the model calibration and verification are conducted in combination with the measured data from six hydrological stations in Wuxi and Chenxi. And then the related hydrological and hydrodynamic calculations are conducted for the Wugan River Waterlogging Drainage Pumping Station under the different construction scales. According to the calculation results, it is recommended that the construction scale of this pumping station is expanded from a clear width of 12 m for the Wugan River Check Sluice to 28 m, and a new 30 m3/s drainage pumping station is built.
