Abstract:The modified sequencing batch reactor (MSBR) combines the advantages of A2O, SBR and other processes, and has the characteristics of small floor area, low operating cost, good nitrogen and phosphorus removal effect, and flexible control. However the process operation is rather difficult and the requirements for the level of operation and management is high. There are 10 reactors for MSBR process. During the commissioning process, the problem of sludge running out caused the effluent to exceed the standard is encountered. By studying and analyzing the measured data, the methods of strengthening the monitoring of sludge volume index, adjusting the sludge discharge and controlling the sludge concentration are taken to effectively solve the practical problems, which guarantees the final effluent quality of the whole plant after being reconstructed up to the related requirements of Discharge Standard for Main Water Pollutants of Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (DB33/2169—2018) in Zhejiang Province.
