Abstract:In the construction of modern transportation infrastructure, with the acceleration of urbanization and the continuous growth of traffic volume, the widening and rebuilding of the existing roads have become a common practice to meet the growing traffic demand. The numerical model of the roadbed is verified through the laboratory subgrade scale model test, and a reasonable numerical model of the roadbed is obtained. The influence of precast pile, EPS material, overload preloading method and different widening methods of geogrids on the deformation of old and new roadbeds is analyzed comprehensively, and the mechanism is discussed. Through the in-depth study on the deformation characteristics of the widened roadbed, the scientific basis can be provided for engineering design and construction to ensure the quality and safety of the widening project, extend the service life of road, and provide reference for similar projects.
