Abstract:Three different manufacturers of regenerants are used to evaluate the comprehensive performances (including traditional mechanical and rheological properties) of regenerated SBS modified asphalt so as to select the more suitable regenerant for SBS modified asphalt, and calculate the subsequent dosage. The experimental results indicate that no matter what kind of regenerant is used, it all promotes the medium and low-temperature performances of SBS modified asphalt after aging, but the indicators such as ductility, elastic recovery, viscosity and toughness cannot be restored to the level of the original SBS modified asphalt. After comprehensive comparison, the addition of Type A regenerant will make all performances more superior to the other two regenerants. Therefore, Type A regenerant is ultimately chosen as the regenerant for the experiment.
