Abstract:To ensure the overall construction quality of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) pavement layer for the steel box girder of the terminal drop off platform, a construction technology suitable for the ultra-wide gradient steel bridge deck UHPC pavement layer is developed according to the current construction status of the steel box girder on site. The traditional construction of ultra-wide gradient bridge deck pavement generally adopts the separate construction in blocks and areas, which is dominated by manual labor with a large input of labor, low construction efficiency and great difficulty in quality control of the pavement layer. In this project, a construction technique dominated by mechanization is adopted. The UHPC bridge deck pavement is conducted by the ultrasonic UHPC leveling machines and UHPC automatic laminating machines so as to complete the entire ultra-wide gradient steel bridge deck pavement in one go, which not only shortens the construction period and reduces the input of construction personnel, but also improves the overall construction quality.
