Abstract:Compared to individual construction, the co-construction of highway and railway bridges can effectively save the land and sea resources, reduce the time and capital investment, and enhance the economic and environmental friendliness of the project. Taking the highway-railway co-constructed bridge at the north estuary of Oujiang River in Wenzhou as an example, the necessity, rationality and economy of the co-construction of highway and railway are confirmed through the analysis of the construction demand of vehicle lanes, scarcity of bridge position resources, shoreline protection, and engineering investment savings. At the same time, the overall layout scheme of the project is discussed, and the leveling scheme is recommended after comparing the advantages and disadvantages of two schemes, such as layering and leveling of highway and railway. In addition, the connection road engineering schemes on both sides of the bridge are studied.
