Abstract:With the development of the economy and society, the current urban backbone road network is insufficient to support the high-quality expansion of urban space. Taking the Dayawan District of Huizhou City as an example, starting from the comprehensive transportation planning of Dayawan District, the problems in the existing road network of the Dayawan District such as the lack of expressways, the imperfect road network structure, and the mixed traffic of passengers and freight are analyzed. The overall design ideas and strategies for the expressway network of Dayawan are proposed. The design scheme of the expressway network is studied in detail from the aspects of composite channels, technical standards, cross-sections, and node schemes so as to build a clear functioning and smoothly connected expressway network system. And a closely connected and convenient access distribution system was established to improve the traffic distribution efficiency of the areas along the line, providing a useful reference for the overall schemes of expressway networks in other regions.
