Abstract:Small-radius curved tunnels are widely used in large cities. The normal force generated when a small-radius curved tunnel turns poses significant safety risks to the tunnel. A new type of steel pipe segment bag, after the segments are removed from the tail of the shield, is used for directional grouting, and quickly solidifies to fill the gap at the tail of the shield, which provides the reaction force for the tunneling of shield tunnels and improves the quality and safety of tunnel formation. Firstly, the selection of the steel pipe segment bag material and the protective steel plate is completed through experiments, and then the application performance of the designed steel pipe segment bag is verified through the functional tests and full-scale tests. The results show that the design and optimization of the bag structure, materials and protective steel plate can meet the turning functionality requirements for the construction of small-radius curved tunnel.
