Abstract:The highway cross-river super-large bridges are usually the key control node projects in engineering construction, and the comparison of bridge schemes is the primary technical issue to be addressed, which has a profound impact on the engineering cost, quality and safety. Taking Yuedong Road Bridge spanning Cao’e River as an example, and combined with the construction conditions of hydrology, flood control evaluation, waterway navigation and geology, the multiple schemes are compared and studied on bridge type, girder, cable pylon, stayed cable and anchoring. Finally, the scheme of steel-concrete composite beam cable-stayed bridge is adopted. The cable pylon is in the shape of a beautiful water droplet. The stayed cable is the steel strand stayed cable. The anchoring of the cable beam is in the anchor box type. And the steel anchor beam is used for the anchoring of the cable pylon. This scheme features the good overall rigidity, comfortable driving, mature construction techniques and controllable construction period. There is no impact on the navigation, and the estimated investment cost is low.
