Abstract:The traditional ultra-thin wear-resistant layer is widely used now in the preventive maintenance of high-grade highways due to its fast construction speed, low cost and excellent performance. In order to further improve the pavement performance of the ultra-thin wear-resistant layer, a UTFC-H ultra-tough ultra-thin wear-resistant layer asphalt mixture is proposed by using the unique high-viscosity and high-elasticity modified asphalt combined with the relevant test mix design, and the relevant macro-performance test of the asphalt mixture is carried out. The results show that the optimum asphalt-aggregate ratio of ultra-tough ultra-thin wear-resistant layer asphalt mixture is 7.5 %. The basic indexes of high-viscosity high-elasticity modified asphalt are much higher than the requirements of the specification. Compared with the performance of traditional ultra-thin wear-resistant layer asphalt mixture, the high-temperature rutting resistance, low-temperature crack resistance, water stability and bonding performance of ultra-tough ultra-thin wear-resistant layer asphalt mixture meet the requirements of the specification and have better pavement performance.
