Abstract:With the rapid development of economy in China, the number of cars has increased rapidly, and the disposal of waste tires has become an urgent environmental and resource problem. In order to promote the effective recycling and utilization of waste tires, through the Brinell rotational viscosity test, Haake viscosity test and mixture performance test of rubber asphalt, the viscosity attenuation law of rubber asphalt and its impact on the pavement performances of rubber asphalt mixture are analyzed. The research results indicate that the viscosity of rubber asphalt using different rubber powders will gradually decrease with the time increase, and it will also have an impact on the pavement performance of the asphalt mixture. Therefore, it is not advisable to store rubber asphalt for a long time after its production is completed. In addition, the changes in Brinell rotational viscosity and Haake viscosity test results are completely consistent, which indicates that both methods can be used for viscosity testing and evaluation of rubber asphalt.
