Abstract:In view of the difficulty in on-site test determination of the base bed coefficient, when calculating the box culvert structure, the different methods for obtaining the base bed coefficient lead to different stiffness of the base spring, thus causing significant differences in the calculation results. Based on the assumption of the Winkler foundation model, three different spring stiffness calculation methods are summarized and proposed. Relying on the example of box culvert structure, the finite element analysis software is used to analyze its internal forces and foundation reaction forces under different spring stiffness value methods. The results show that three different spring stiffness calculation methods are adopted, and the differences in the control bending moments of the roof and side walls of the box culvert are relatively small, all of which can guide the design. The control bending moment of the base plate and the reaction force of the base vary greatly. It is recommended to use the standard table lookup method for calculation and determination. The analysis conclusion can provide reference for design and calculation of the similar projects.
