Abstract:Taking the design of the transportation and distribution road systems for the Pudong Airport T3 Terminal and East Shanghai Railway Station in the oriental hub as an examples, the engineering overview, characteristics and design thought of two projects are introduced in detail. Through an in-depth analysis of these two projects, the design thoughts of large-scale hub transportation and distribution systems are summarized. Taking the higher traffic efficiency, higher safety, and enhanced fault tolerance as the premise, and combined with the practical projects, the design work and design principles of large-scale hub transportation and distribution system are conducted. By optimizing the road layouts, rationally organizing the traffic flows, fully considering the connections with adjacent projects, and developing the scientific traffic organization schemes during construction, the traffic efficiency and safety of large-scale hub transportation and distribution systems can be significantly improved. The formed planning ideas and design principles can provide the valuable references and insights for the system construction, functional integration and multi-link transportation organization of similar transportation hubs in China, and promote the intensive and intelligent development of new transportation infrastructure.
