Abstract:With the development of urbanization in China, the urban road transportation system has become increasingly mature and complete. Against this backdrop, the demand for new roads is gradually decreasing, while the need for upgrading and reconstructing the existing roads is rising. High-grade urban roads, primarily comprising urban expressways and arterial roads, have become focal points of upgrading and reconstruction efforts due to their significant functional roles, complex professional contents, substantial construction investments and wide-ranging social impacts. Starting from the Putian Ligang Avenue Upgrading and Recosntruction Project, the complex issues that may arise during the upgrading and reconstruction of high-grade urban roads are analyzed in detail. And the detailed solutions to each problem one by one in a targeted manner are given to explore the decision-making methods for upgrading and reconstruction schemes of high-grade urban road. Through specific case analysis, it is concluded that in the decision-making process for upgrading and reconstruction schemes of high-grade urban roads, the special attention should be paid to the reconstruction goals of the main structure of the road, and the solution to the coupling problems of various special projects should be given priority to. Only in this way can the complex reconstruction tasks be unraveled step by step, and the upgrading and reconstruction work be completed efficiently and economically in the end.
