Abstract:The Guijiang Third Bridge in Zhaoping County of Hezhou spans the Guijiang River. The main bridge is designed as a through steel-box arch bridge with a calculated span of 215 meters. The main arch is made of steel box arch ribs, and the tie beams also adopt steel box sections. The middle crossbeams and small longitudinal beams are made of I-beams, and the bridge deck is selected from prefabricated UHPC plates. The bridge design fully complies with the navigation requirements of Class III waterway, accommodating the passage of 2000-t vessels. The navigation clearance width is 180 m and the clear height is 10 m. The “beam-first, arch-later” method is used in the construction of the main bridge. And the main arch and the girder are assembled by segmented overwater hoisting. In the design process, the static calculations are performed for the main components, and a detailed analysis on the overall stability of the main bridge is conducted. The design concept of this bridge scheme is not only scientific and reasonable, but also offers the valuable references for similar projects.
