Abstract:To upgrade the safety resilience and traffic efficiency of intersections under complex traffic conditions, taking the Yifu Road - Fenghua Road intersection in Zhenhai District as an example, based on the operational characteristics of mixed traffic flow at the intersection, the impacts on traffic safety and order at the intersection in a complex traffic environment are systematically analyzed. It is proposed that a traffic organization optimization framework is centered on "multi-vehicle type coordinated organization and all-element safety control". The optimization measures are put forward from aspects such as the reconstruction of pedestrian and non-motored vehicle crossing spaces, dynamic optimization of lane functions, precise adjustment of signal timing, and construction of a scientific and technological supervision network. After the implementation of the traffic organization optimization scheme, the saturation during off-peak hours at the intersection decreases from 0.41 to 0.40, the average vehicle delay is reduced by 8.7%, and the violation rate of pedestrians and non-motored vehicles drops sharply from 80% to 5%. During the evening peak, the saturation decreases from 0.52 to 0.48, the queue length is shortened by 18.6%, and the conflict points of various vehicles are reduced by 42%, which verifies the effectiveness of the comprehensive optimization scheme under complex traffic conditions and provides a reference for the governance of similar intersections.
