Abstract:In the face of the systematic deficiencies existing in the current specific project practices of sponge city construction and the urgent need in high-density urban areas to build the dual-purpose drainage and waterlogging control facilities for both peacetime and emergency use in public spaces, taking the contiguous reconstruction of four public space plots in an area of Liuan City as an example, the systematic, appropriate and economic design principles for the sponge reconstruction at the areal level are proposed. The overall construction idea and key points of specific scheme design for the dual-purpose function of coupling peacetime and emergency are presented. The operational modes for both conventional rainfall and excessive rainfall conditions are clearly defined. And the construction effects under the different conditions are evaluated. The result shows that after the sponge reconstruction, the daily public service functions have been further improved. During light rain, the total runoff volume and pollution control indicators all meet the standards. During extreme rainstorms, the emergency storage space is provided for itself and the surrounding area in order to reduce the waterlogging prevention pressure. The study results can provide certain reference for the multi-objective collaborative design of similar projects.
