Abstract:Taking the soil and groundwater pollution of an operating enterprise as the research object, the risk assessment of human health is carried out. Combined with the practical situations, the parameters such as pollution source-zone area, width of pollution source zone, enclosed spatial volume / infiltration area ratio, air exchange rate of enclosed space, and average time for carcinogenic effect are adjusted. The risk assessment results indicate that the health risk of dichloromethane in soil and groundwater to enterprise employees is unacceptable, and the remediation and risk control measures need to be taken. The indoor exposure pathway is the primary route affecting human health. The institutional and engineering control measures can be taken to regulate the sensitive parameters, including air exchange rate of enclosed space, exposure duration of adults, indoor exposure frequency of adults, thickness of enclosed-space underground foundation layer, and proportion of the cracked parts in the area of the foundation and walls, thereby reducing health risks to humans.
