Abstract:The durability design system and optimization ideas for the large-cantilever composite cross-section segmental girder of the bridge are concluded and summarized. And the durability issue of the joint between the rear-mounted cantilever and the core box girder is deeply studied. The deviation range of the wet joint steel reinforcement cover thickness caused by the assembly error of the rear-mounted cantilever is analyzed, and the corrosion rate of chloride ions on the main concrete reinforcement with different cover thicknesses and joint materials under the different external environments is calculated respectively through two methods of existing standard formula and finite element simulation. The result shows that the proposed countermeasures for improving the durability of the rear-mounted cantilever joints are effective.
