Abstract:In order to study the occurrence of bearing voids in actual engineering of beam bridges, taking a steel box girder bridge as an example, the causes of bearing voids are analyzed by using finite element software MIDAS and the treatment scheme is proposed. By comparing the size of the bearing voids, the plane position, and the elevation changes with the analysis of the bearing reaction force calculated by the software, the results show that the theoretical calculation is basically consistent with the actual observation situation. Based on the causes of the void phenomenon, the proposed solution includes the maintenance and upkeep of the void bearings, pouring of counterweight concrete as soon as possible, and continuous monitoring of important data such as deformation and displacement of the steel box girders. The treated effect meets the expectations and provides a reference for the treatment of the phenomenon of bearing voids in steel box girder bridges.
