Abstract:This article mainly outlines the necessity, functional analysis, design background, principles, and technical content of the structural health monitoring system for Shanghai Xupu Bridge. The project aims to establish a robust, technologically advanced, and cost-effective bridge health monitoring system to provide reliable support for the bridge's lifecycle maintenance management. The system design includes sensor layout, data acquisition and transmission, threshold setting, and an evaluation system. Sensor placement is determined based on structural requirements, regulatory standards, and other critical factors. The system conducts real-time assessments of the bridge's structural health and triggers response protocols according to the evaluation level. The implementation of this system enables continuous monitoring and condition assessment of the bridge structure, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
