Abstract:The construction of high-rise residential buildings in railway safety protection zones or adjacent areas will pose certain risks to the operational safety of existing railways. In view of such problems, taking the construction of a high-rise resettlement housing project as an example, based on the engineering characteristics of its large basement plane size, foundation pit depth exceeding a certain scale, high residential floors above ground, and proximity to the existing railway, the risks brought by the basement construction, high-rise residential building construction, and resettlement housing operation to the safety of the existing railway are analyzed. A three-dimensional modelling numerical simulation method is used to judge the impact of each construction condition on the existing railway subgrade during the construction and operation of the project, and the effective preventive measures are proposed to avoid the risk, reduce the adverse impact on the existing railway in the implementation stage of the project, and ensure the operation safety of the railway, which provides a reference for the construction and implementation of similar railway-related high-rise residential buildings in the rapid development of urban economy and society in the future.
