Abstract:In the design of foundation pit engineering in soft soil areas, the commonly used support types include the diaphragm walls, cast-in-place piles, SMW method, steel sheet piles, etc. For the foundation pits of two pipe support wells for pipeline relocation in a rainwater storage regulation project in Shanghai, the excavation depth is about 8 m. The construction site is located at the intersection of existing roads with limited space, and the engineering features are that there are the surrounding buildings and more complex municipal pipelines. The support method of MJS pile insert section steel is creatively proposed. The design is carried out by using Tongji Qimingxing software, and the project implementation has achieved good technical and economic effects, which provides a new support scheme for the design and construction of foundation pits in complex municipal engineering environments in soft soil areas.
