Abstract:The pre-embedded climbing cone bracket method is widely used in bridge construction due to its efficiency and economic advantages. However, there are currently no design standards for pre-embedded climbing cones in China. This is likely to cause unreasonable design in practical projects. To address this issue, and based on the failure modes of pre-embedded climbing cones, the provisions of relevant standards at home and abroad are categorized, and the intrinsic connections and applicable scopes of each standard are discussed. It is proposed that in addition to the requirements for the bearing capacity of anchor bolt, the failure verification of the concrete substrate should also be supplemented. Combined with the engineering experience of pre-embedded climbing cone construction, the focus is on analyzing the effects of anchor bolt edge distance, spacing, and anchoring depth on the bearing capacity of concrete. Finally, a set of design method suitable for the bearing capacity of pre-embedded climbing cone systems in bridge piers is formed. The design method has been applied in the Beijing North Liangma River Road Bridge Project, and its effectiveness has been validated through practical engineering, which can provide a referring basis for similar projects.
